Backstage Notes on The Main Event For Today's WWE Money in the Bank (Possible Spoilers)

-- On Friday's WWE Smackdown, a line was thrown out about the Money in the Bank main event which generated some online chatter about exactly which match will go on last night. Cody Rhodes vs. Dominik Mysterio appeared to be implied or perhaps even announced as the main event of the show and fightfulselect.com has a report on the status of that match and Money in the Bank.

-- According to the report, no direct answer was given on which match will go on last but WWE officials confirmed that there was advertising sent out that promoted the event has having a "triple main event", a strategy that the company may use more moving forward after previously cutting back on that sort of promotion. Others felt that the line of Rhodes vs. Mysterio main eventing generated more heat on Dominik and that any more heat on Dominik was a good thing for the company.

-- The report added that at one point, the discussion on match order had the Men's Money in the Bank match open the show and the Bloodline match close it, however, the decision on this would not be finalized until after last night's Smackdown and perhaps not until before the show. For what it's worth, WRKD Wrestling reported that Brock Lesnar is expected to re-appear at tonight's premium live event in the Cody match to set up a future gimmick match between the two - likely at SummerSlam - so if true, this might explain WWE's call to have the Rhodes-Mysterio match end the show.
