-- Reigning AEW TNT Champion Adam Copeland announced this morning that he suffered a broken tibia during his match at Double or Nothing and subsequently will require surgery. The timetable for his return hasn't been yet established but AEW no doubt has to deal with that creative issue and the most likely scenario is that Copeland will vacate the title.
-- PWInsiderelite.com is reporting that the consensus backstage reaction among AEW wrestlers and staff is of "universal sadness and sympathy" as Copeland had evolved into being a great mentor and support person for talent, acting as sounding board when necessary. Those that commented on the situation felt that it would leave a significant void backstage and behind-the-scenes as he will not be around while recovering from the injury.
-- On a related note, during Double or Nothing, AEW and Copeland often referred to "The Brood" by name, a term for the stable of Edge, Christian and Gangrel going back to their WWE days. As it turns out, that trademark is not owned by WWE but rather Copeland himself owns the rights to it and thus is free to use anywhere.
