While not figuring into a match at the recent WWE WrestleMania 41 which took place in his hometown, Karrion Kross still made an appearance during the AJ Styles vs. Logan Paul match, continuing to play up his new gimmick where he encourages his fellow wrestlers to be true to only themselves.
Following the show, Kross appeared on Sam Roberts & Megan Morant’s "WrestleMania Recap" and leaned into his character, blurring the lines of work and shoot, talking about the WrestleMania match but also referencing the way he has been treated and mishandled by WWE over the years. Kross' appearance imploded into a rant that was made all the more real by him getting personal and with wife Scarlett looking on horrified next to him. Fightfulselect.com reports that despite the work-shoot promo where he slammed WWE for the lack of opportunities he has been gotten, he has no heat backstage within the company but that the segment turned heads. It wasn't a scripted appearance but did require editing before it went online, mainly to due to the language that was used.
Multiple wrestlers noted that they reached out to Kross - not only to check on him but also to thank for cutting a promo that aired his grievances but also continued to push his character.
