-- With Bobby Lashley successfully defending his WWE Title against Drew McIntyre at Hell in a Cell and with the added stipulation that McIntyre is out of the title picture as long as Lashley is holding the belt, it means that there will be a new challenger for the championship at SummerSlam. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, while most people believe this means Lashley is being set up to face Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam, that is still not the plan as of last week, but it wouldn’t take long for WWE and Lesnar to come to an agreement on a new contract. Other possibilities include elevating Randy Orton to that spot and there is also Bray Wyatt and Bill Goldberg as potential possibilities. The only other candidate for now would be Daniel Bryan, who if he returns, will likely be on the Raw brand. McIntyre meanwhile is rumored to be moving over to Smackdown to eventually feud with Roman Reigns.
