Backstage Uncertainty on the Futures of Several Wrestlers That Paul Heyman Was Pushing

-- With Paul Heyman no longer running things, the status of many of the wrestlers he was pushing comes into question. It remains completely up in the air what will happen to specific Heyman “projects” such as Drew McIntyre, Andrade, Austin Theory, The Street Profits, Angel Garza, Zelina Vega, as well as his work in building up Asuka, Nia Jax and Charlotte Flair. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggest that McIntyre and the Street Profits are “safe” because Vince likes them but everyone including them will now be more exposed to the “whims of booking” which may not protect them as well as when Heyman was in charge. One of the running jokes within WWE is that if a new star doesn’t get over within three weeks, Vince’s notorious lack of patience causes him to lose interest and guys like Ricochet, Humberto Carrillo and Cedric Alexander are three recent examples.
