Backstage Update On Adam Weitsman’s Commentary Appearance During WrestleMania 42 Match

As previously reported, Adam Weitsman, the owner of Upstate Shredding – Weitsman Recycling and a crypto company called Viridium, raised eyebrows among fans when he appeared alongside Wade Barrett and Michael Cole during night two of WrestleMania 42. Weitsman was introduced as a “guest commentator,” but he did not speak and did not have a microphone attached to his headset.

There is speculation that Weitsman paid to be at the commentary table for the match, and Fightful Select has confirmed this. WWE sources also indicated that Weitsman paid to be ringside for the match. It remains unclear if he specifically requested to be at this match or simply wanted to be ringside for any match, with this being the one he attended. Dave Meltzer mentioned on Wrestling Observer Radio that he believed, though could not confirm, that Weitsman paid for the opportunity.

Weitsman is a billionaire, with an estimated net worth of at least $1.5 billion. He sat at the booth to watch Rhea Ripley defeat Jade Cargill and regain the WWE Women’s Championship during night two of the event.
