Rajah.com has learned new details surrounding the in-ring future of WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, stemming from conversations held over WrestleMania 41 weekend earlier this year.
According to multiple sources in attendance that weekend, the legendary performer hinted that he may not be entirely done inside the squared circle. One source noted that Austin privately said he “might have one more in him,” with the implication being a potential return to the ring — not simply another WrestleMania cameo on an ATV, as was the case this year when he drove into the barricade during a surprise appearance.
While there’s been no concrete update on how Austin felt physically following WrestleMania, several individuals who interacted with him in Philadelphia said he appeared open to the idea of a comeback, given the right circumstances. Interestingly, Austin previously stated that he hadn’t heard from TKO management since the WWE-UFC merger, but went on to make several appearances throughout WrestleMania week.
Internally, the idea of an Austin return has sparked conversation among both talent and executives, with several names pitching potential matchups in recent years. Unsurprisingly, CM Punk has been floated as a dream opponent in more than one of those discussions.
