According to Fightful Select, AEW star Wardlow, who has been off TV since last spring, was involved in a car accident during a hiatus caused by a labrum injury. The report indicates that while the accident did not cause the injury, it did aggravate it. It remains unclear if this incident is related to the car accident reported in April 2024.
The report also mentions that Wardlow has been cleared to return and has been offered a unique and significant television role earlier this year. He reportedly met with Tony Khan, and it was decided that it wouldn’t benefit anyone for him to return briefly only to be sidelined again for the TV role. Wardlow is said to have a substantial amount of time remaining on his AEW contract.
