As previously reported, All Elite Wrestling stars Wardlow and Kamille have been cast in the upcoming reboot of “American Gladiators.” This project is the reason for Wardlow's absence from AEW television. It was also noted that Wardlow had been medically cleared from an injury before he began filming for “American Gladiators.” However, he met with Tony Khan and agreed it would not make sense for him to return to AEW, only to be sidelined again shortly after.
According to Fightful Select, Wardlow has completed filming for the show for now, with sources indicating that two seasons' worth of material has been shot. The report also mentioned that discussions have been held within AEW regarding his return, although no specific details have been revealed yet.
Wardlow was seen backstage during the recent episode of Dynamite, which took place in his hometown of Cleveland. His last appearance on AEW television was during the “Dynamite Big Business” special in March 2024.
