As previously reported, New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) has confirmed that veteran wrestler EVIL will be leaving the promotion at the end of the month. It was rumored that he had given his notice to the company and is expected to join WWE soon after.
According to Fightful Select, both WWE and other Japanese wrestling promotions are considered likely destinations for EVIL. The report notes that he has recently been seen backstage at multiple WWE events, and discussions have reportedly taken place between both parties.
Sources within NJPW have indicated that while there are opportunities available for EVIL in Japan, he is expected to pursue a move to the United States. It is not anticipated that he will sign with AEW, so it may only be a matter of time before he appears in WWE or another wrestling promotion in Japan.
