According to Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select, a city official in Nashville, Tennessee, has indicated that WWE is in active discussions about potentially hosting WrestleMania 44 there in 2028.
The report mentions that Nashville is expected to open the new Nissan Stadium in 2027 for the Tennessee Titans, and negotiations have been progressing well. City officials are hopeful for an agreement and announcement soon, with sources stating they are "at the finish line."
This news follows a report by Bryan Alvarez, which stated that Nashville submitted a $3.5 million bid for WrestleMania 44. WWE President Nick Khan had previously hinted at an upcoming announcement during an internal TKO town hall, saying, “Wait until you hear the announcement on where we’re going to be for WrestleMania in 2028.”
It's worth noting that Nashville would not be the first city to claim they were "at the finish line" for WrestleMania, and such claims have not always resulted in successful bids. Additionally, New Orleans and Indianapolis are already scheduled to host future WrestleManias. WrestleMania 42 was initially planned for New Orleans before WWE relocated it to Las Vegas, and the company has also announced a partnership with Indianapolis for a future commitment to host WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, and SummerSlam there.
