Backstage Update On WWE's WrestleMania Week Plans; WWE Claims Ticket Sales Have Surged

WWE's preparations for WrestleMania 42 taking place this weekend are in full swing and there is a new report on some of their logistical plans this week.

Fightful Select reports that multiple WrestleMania matches were expected to go through their rehearsals on Wednesday, including the WWE Intercontinental Title match. With 13 matches announced and 14 likely to be the final number, it would seem highly improbable that every match would find time to see rehearsals today but the set up is already in place and likely to be used throughout the rest of the week.

WWE has also scheduled a number of live appearances that they didn't attach a specific time to in the weeks leading up to WrestleMania as the company expected one of their busiest promotional periods in history to make a late push to sell tickets.

Earlier today, the Sports Business Journal published an article on WWE's soft ticket sales but quoted a company source who claimed that "ticket sales have surged in recent weeks and projected that the event remains headed toward one of the top gates in WWE history."
