Former WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes is set to return to storylines in the very near future. PWInsiderelite.com reports that there's been talk of having Rhodes return as a "surprise" at this weekend's Backlash premium live event in St. Louis. While it makes sense for that to happen and there has been at least one pitch internally, there is no confirmation that this is the direction WWE will take with Rhodes.
WWE stars Penta, Zelina Vega and IYO Sky were spotted at company headquarters in Stamford, CT this week.
There has been some discussion of bringing in Doug Basham to work as a guest trainer at the WWE Performance Center. Basham is known from his time in Ohio Valley Wrestling and trained Canadian actress Emily Bett Rickards for the Queen of the Ring movie.
