Batista Sends His “Army Of The Dead” Zombies To Invade WWE WrestleMania Backlash

Prior to last night's WWE WrestleMania Backslash PPV, WWE legend Batista sent out a tweet, mentioning that he will not be able to appear on the PPV, but that some of his "friends" will be at the show. It was previously announced that WWE WrestleMania Backlash PPV Event would be sponsored by Zack Snyder’s “Army of the Dead” movie.

During the WrestleMania Backlash PPV Event, a Zombies Lumberjack Match took place between The Miz and Damian Priest, which saw Priest come out of victorious. The "friends" that Batista mentioned were the zombies in Zack Snyder's “Army of the Dead” movie and were even used in the Zombies Lumberjack Match. Despite Damian Priest coming out of the match with the win, he and Miz teamed up at ringside to fight off a group of zombies at one point during the match.

The match would also see John Morrison run away early but would eventually come back down the ramp to fight off the zombies. Morrison would end up getting yanked over the barrier by a few zombies, and he would then get eaten. The match ended with Priest coming out victorious but then retreating to safety as the zombies invaded the ring to eat The Miz while he was down.

The storyline reason behind the involvement of the zombies in the Lumberjack Match was reportedly due to Priest asking WWE official Adam Pearce this past Monday night on RAW to make his match against The Miz a Lumberjack Match and even telling Pearce that he could bring RAW Stars, SmackDown Stars, aliens or even zombies. WWE official Adam Pearce took to his Twitter account and revealed that he was behind the match being changed.

On a related note, WWE legend Batista narrated the opening video package of last night’s WrestleMania Backlash PPV.
