The latest WWE Saturday Night's Main Event special featured a non-title match between WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion "The Man" Becky Lynch and Sol Ruca. During the match, Ruca attempted to execute her finishing move, the Sol Snatcher, on Lynch. However, Lynch put referee Jessica Carr in danger, resulting in a disqualification win for Ruca. After the match, Lynch delivered multiple Manhandle Slams to Ruca.
Soon after, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, on behalf of RAW General Manager Adam Pearce, informed Lynch that she would need to defend her title against Sol Ruca at Clash in Italy this Sunday.
Following the announcement, Lynch took to her official Twitter (X) account to comment on her loss.
This is what Becky Lynch wrote, “I GUESS I’M SO GOOD AT WINNING THAT I WIN FOR OTHER PEOPLE NOW!!!! SUCKER SOL RUCA COULDN’T BEAT ME!!!!!! AND SHE HIT AN OFFICIAL REFEREE!!!!!! WE MUST STOP THE CORRUPTION!!!”
