The opening match of this past Saturday night's WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event saw WWE RAW Women's Champion "The EST Of WWE" Bianca Belair successfully retain her championship against "Big Time Becks" Becky Lynch in a hard-hitting and hard-fought match. After the match, Bayley, Iyo Sky (Io Shirai) and Dakota Kai made their debut as a group and confronted The EST Of WWE.
Shortly following the match, the reigning WWE RAW Women's Champion took part in a backstage interview and talked about a variety of topics such as the respect she has for Becky Lynch after everything the both of them have been through.
Bianca Belair said:
“I mean, we definitely do. It’s been a year-long feud we’ve been going through. So at the end of it all, I respect Becky so much, what she does for women in the WWE, inside and outside the ring.”
Bianca Belair also spoke about the debut of Bayley, Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai as a group and how she now has Becky Lynch on her side.
Bianca Belair said:
“I understand that I’m at the forefront of a new generation of women in WWE, so these women want to come through: Bayley, IYO, Dakota. Well then, let’s bring it. I got Becky Lynch on my side now; let’s see what happens.”
