Bobby Lashley Claims He Had More Of A Connection With Vince McMahon Than Triple H

-- Former WWE champion Bobby Lashley's contract is reportedly expiring this weekend and he is not expected to be retained by the company. Ahead of that, Lashley spoke with "The Laboratory With Plaz" and commented on how he never really developed a strong connection with current WWE creative head Triple H while suggesting that former WWE CEO Vince McMahon saw him as a "star" within the promotion:

"If I say the wrong thing right now...I had a connection with Vince. Vince understood me. Vince was big on, like, the show. He looked at people that were stars, and he saw that in me. And there were a lot of little nuggets that Vince would give me all the way throughout my career and tell me different things. So Vince just looked at me, he was like, ‘I can tell Bobby works his ass off. I can send him anywhere around the country to represent the company, the brand.’ He just looked at me like a star. So I like Vince. I haven’t really had too much of a connection with Hunter. Hunter has his guys. And I’ve tried to, but we haven’t really worked enough together to get to know each other."

-- On the podcast, Lashley also revealed that he suffered a "freak accident" during a match in France and was given a six-month recovery. However, he is ahead of that timetable and believes he will receive medical clearance within a month.
