Over the past number of months, WWE has released over 80 talents, which includes wrestlers, producers and office workers. WWE Champion Bobby Lashley recently spoke with Rich Ucchino of Sportskeeda on the advice he would want to give to those talents who were recently released by the WWE. According to the All Mighty WWE Champion, they should stay motivated and since they are good and their talents can not be denied, they should never burn bridges.
Bobby Lashley said:
“Stay motivated. There was a couple guys who contacted me that were in WWE when I was out, and they asked, ‘What’s going on, man? Do you have any advice for me?'” “I always told them, ‘If you’re good, your talent can’t be denied.’ That’s one, and two — never burn bridges.”
“I think a lot of times people will leave the wrestling business or leave one organization and feel the need to badmouth them. I think that’s just ridiculous. I think every one of us made out name from the WWE, or in professional wrestling — in one sense or another — and made a lot of money.”
Bobby Lashley was released from the WWE in 2008 after his initial short stint. He would then make his WWE return in 2018 after competing in IMPACT Wrestling for almost a decade. Bobby Lashley will defend his WWE Title against WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg at this Saturday's WWE SummerSlam PPV.
