Bobby Lashley, MVP Both Expected To Leave WWE & Reform Stable Elsewhere

-- Yesterday, it was reported that former World Champion Bobby Lashley's name was no longer listed on the internal roster sheet within WWE and that his contract was set to expire in the near future with the strong chance that he would exit the company and sign elsewhere. Since then, more information has trickled in, none of it confirmed by WWE or Lashley.

-- According to pwinsiderelite.com, not only is Lashley likely on his way out but MVP's deal is also set to expire this summer and the internal expectation is that he too will be leaving. It is believed that MVP's contract expires in August and no major discussions have taken place though there had been talk of using him in a producer or an announcer role, but nothing ever materialized except for some tryouts.

-- In Lashley's case, a contract offer by WWE was extended but it was not one that made the former champion jump at the chance to sign and it is believed that he is instead perfectly fine with letting his deal run out so that he can explore the free agent market. There is no word on when Lashley's contract runs out but fightfulselect.com reported yesterday that it is within the month.

-- If and when Lashley and MVP leave WWE, the assumption is that they will land somewhere together and possibly even bring in Shelton Benjamin in a move to re-form the Hurt Business stable, however, that name would not be able to be used outside of WWE. MVP has recently shared that Paul "HHH" Levesque turned down the idea of reforming the Hurt Business within WWE.

-- On f4wonline.com, Dave Meltzer went further and suggested that the pair along with Shelton Benjamin are looking to get into AEW:

"I know there is talk of them trying to get into AEW, it’s one of those things where technically nobody can talk to them because I don’t believe either’s contracts has expired, but their contracts are going to expire and they are at this point, as things stand right now, WWE is under the assumption that they’re gone and that they are going to try and revamp The Hurt Business. I don’t believe it is a done deal or anything like that but it is something that is alive."
