-- Last month, it was reported that former WWE World champion Bobby Lashley's contract was set to expire this summer and that his Hurt Business partner MVP's deal had already run out. Fightfulselect.com is reporting that Lashley's contract is believed to be expiring this weekend.
-- The report added that as of SummerSlam, the consensus opinion backstage was that Lashley would be exiting WWE as there were no creative plans in place for him moving forward and of course, the fact that no new deal was agreed upon. When news of his contractual status was made public, there was immediate interest from AEW and the company has discussed his name backstage. However, because he is still technically under WWE contract, no offer has been made to Lashley. Of course, that could change very quickly by next week.
-- Apart from the possibility of popping up in AEW, Lashley is reported to also have interest from the MMA and in Japan though people close to him believe that he will make at least one appearance in AEW and he is also said to be fully healthy and ready to be on TV immediately.
