Bombshell Announcement Regarding Impact Rebellion PPV And AEW Champion Kenny Omega

IMPACT Wrestling and AEW's budding relationship is about to get kicked up a notch, and current AEW Champion Kenny Omega is at the center of it all.

During Tuesday's IMPACT Wrestling, several announcements were made in regards to their upcoming pay-per-view event Sacrifice 2021 set to take place this Saturday, March 13, 2021. The results of title match at that pay-per-view event will then factor into how AEW Champion Kenny Omega comes into play.

IMPACT Wrestling UNIFIES Two Titles

The first bombshell dropped by D'Amore during this week's IMPACT Wrestling involved the two "big titles" currently held in IMPACT Wrestling which include the Impact World Title and the TNA World Heavyweight Title. It was announced that at this Saturday's pay-per-view event Sacrifice 2021, both titles would be on the line in a match, the winner would walk away with the newly combined championship title.

After D'Amore revealed the explosive news to Moose that he would put his TNA Championship on the line against Swann's Impact Championship, he then revealed that the winner of that match, the new UNIFIED title champion, would move on to an even bigger match set for April's Rebellion 2021 pay-per-view.

But Wait... There's More!

As if that weren't big enough news, it was then announced immediately after that, that Don Callis was the "mystery person" in D'Amore's office, and that they set a match with the current AEW World Champion Kenny Omega who will face off with the victor of the Sacrifice 2021 title match in a TITLE VS TITLE match in April at the Rebellion 2021 pay-per-view! To elaborate, that means the Impact World Title and AEW World Title will soon be owned by the same man!

Scott D'Amore Speaks On Magnitude Of Saturday's Match Opportunity

In a press release about the title match set for Saturday's Sacrifice 2021 pay-per-view, Scott D'Amore had the following to say:

"It is hard to describe the magnitude of the opportunity Rich Swann and Moose have this Saturday. In just six short weeks, one of them will not only unify the IMPACT and TNA World Championships, but also go into a once-in-a-generation showdown where they'll have the chance become the reigning champion of two of the most prestigious organizations in the sport. It isn't a hyperbole to say Rich Swann and Moose are fighting for their shot at wrestling immortality this Saturday night.

D'Amore went on to state that the winner of Saturday's match would go on to make "wrestling history" in April in the TITLE VS TITLE match against AEW Champion Kenny Omega, and has the potential to walk away with BOTH organiztions championships.
