Could CM Punk and WWE ever bury the hatchet and do business again?
Booker T sounded off on this subject on his "Hall Of Fame" podcast when discussing the recent issues surrounding "The Best in the World" and AEW following his rants at the AEW ALL OUT post-show media scrum and subsequent brawl with The Elite trio of Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks this past Sunday night.
Featured below are some of the highlights from the show where he gives his thoughts.
On why it may be hard for WWE and CM Punk to bury the hatchet: "CM Punk has definitely been very polarizing as far as comments about WWE ever since he's left," Booker T said. "So, I think it would be hard, it would be really hard for him just to swallow his pride and go back to that, that monster, that demon that created a lot of these problems that he thinks he has. I think it would be hard on both sides."
On how CM Punk's gig with WWE Backstage On FOX and why him returning to WWE is a 'really, really hard deal to make': "I think FOX really wanted him there. With the 'SmackDown' show and FOX being a huge part of that they really wanted to see Punk back in the WWE, but I just think it was a deal that was just really, really hard to make."
On not being sure where CM Punk would fit into the current WWE landscape: "I wonder what would his positioning be."
