Brie Bella Talks WWE Return; Credits Nick Khan For Comeback, Bryan Danielson For Training Her

Brie Bella made her return to WWE at the Roya Rumble after being away for many years and looks to be back for at least the next little while teaming up with her sister Nikki for a tag team run.

Brie spoke to Notsam Wrestling Live! this week about her return, where she credited WWE President Nick Khan for bringing her back and her husband Bryan Danielson for training her (and Nikki) for the Rumble match.

"I got my gear less than a week before I left. I had maybe three or four weeks to prepare and every day, I was very determined on training, weightlifting or mat wrestling, I was doing boxing. Every day, do something. I was watching crazy amounts of footage of wrestling. I was so nervous, it's been a while since I was in the ring. "

"I’ve been wanting to come back. I would joke about it a lot, but yeah, I kept hearing no, and so when it came Thanksgiving time, I was like, ‘Alright, I’m not going back,’ and so, I kind of just started to look at 2026 differently." I had a couple other opportunities that were put on the table, so I started to engage in those, and then Nick Khan all of a sudden called me, and I wasn’t expecting it, and just really wanted me back. I was very shocked, and I was like, ‘Alright….’ And I’m so grateful to Nick for bringing me back because I definitely thought the door was closed, and I’m happy that it reopened."

When asked who helped her train for the match, Bella responded by saying "Obviously, my husband might be one of the greatest coaches in the world. And he’s a very hard coach" while Nikki chipped in saying "I mean, you should see my text message from him. I’m showing Regal, like, ‘So this is what Bryan wants me to practice today.’"

Brie also spoke of the reaction she got from the Saudi Arabia crowd, saying she felt overwhelmed by it after initially wondering if it was the right place for her return.
