Brock Lesnar is back in WWE and it sounds like he has a new contract to boot.
In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was reported that the former WWE Universal champion Lesnar inked a new contract to come back to the company. Prior to that, Lesnar was collecting money on his old contract despite WWE not using him since 2023 but there was a short period of time when the old deal lapsed and the new deal kicked in, technically making him a temporary free agent. The report added that despite being off of TV, WWE couldn't simply extend Lesnar's old contract as he wasn't out due to an injury but rather was inactive based on WWE's decision to simply not use him after he was named in the ongoing Vince McMahon lawsuit filed by Janel Grant.
Lesnar returned to WWE at the end of SummerSlam, where he attacked John Cena. He came back after WWE's legal team reportedly gave the green light to use him amid the legal issues. It is believed Lesnar will wrestle John Cena at the upcoming Wrestlepalooza premium live event in Indianapolis on September 20.
