-- Up until a couple of days ago, Brock Lesnar was expected to return to WWE and enter the Royal Rumble to set up a program that would build towards and culminate at WrestleMania 40. After being indirectly named in a lawsuit filed against Vince McMahon, it appears that won't be happening.
-- PWInsiderelite.com is reporting Lesnar has voluntarily withdrawn from the event and did not travel to Florida ahead of the Rumble. The word backstage is that he would not be at the premium live event either as a scheduled or a surprise entrant into the men's Rumble match. It is believed that in Lesnar's place, WWE will be using an NXT star instead.
-- Lesnar has been strongly implicated in the Vince McMahon lawsuit with the Wall Street Journal basically identifying him to be the mystery wrestler whom Janel Grant repeatedly referenced in her lawsuit as someone who McMahon tried to push her to in order to re-sign him to a contract.
