One of the highlights of last night's NXT 2.0 episode was the in-ring debut of Bron Breakker, the son of pro wrestling legend Rick Steiner. Bron Breakker competed in a one-on-one match, where he defeated LA Knight in the opening match of the evening. Later in the show, Tommaso Ciampa became the brand-new WWE NXT Champion, when he defeated Pete Dunne, LA Knight and Von Wagner (Cal Bloom), who replaced the injured Kyle O'Reilly, in a Fatal 4-Way Match.
A backstage segment would then take place between Breakker and brand-new NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa. Breakker approached Tommaso Ciampa and congratulated him on his huge title win, while Ciampa returned the favor and congratulated Breakker on winning his in-ring debut. The NXT Champion then offered Bron Breakker his hand for a congratulatory hand shake as Breakker was starring Ciampa down. The two would then shake hands, but Breakker was seething while still holding on to Ciampa’s hand. Last night's NXT 2.0 would then go off the air with Ciampa and Breakker having a stare-down.
Shortly after NXT 2.0 went off the air, WWE released a post-show video of Breakker cutting a promo on Ciampa and sending the NXT Champion a warning. As of this writing, NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa hasn't responded to Breakker. There is no word yet on what WWE plans on doing with the Bron Breakker vs. NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa storyline, but it will be interesting to see if the company gives Breakker an NXT Title shot this quick.
