WWE Executive Director Bruce Prichard revealed during the recent A&E Biography special on DX who came up with the idea to put Billy Gunn and Road Dogg together in a tag team to form one of the best teams of all time in The New Age Outlaws, which makes up one of the greatest, if not the greatest stable of all time known as D-Generation X with Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Chyna and X-Pac.
Bruce Prichard said:
“It was Shawn. I remember Shawn coming to us and going, ‘Hey, man, get these guys out of the silly gimmicks put them together as a tag team, Road Dogg and Rockabilly. That’ll be a hell of a team.”
