Buff Bagwell Comments On Returning To Ring For First Time In 2 Years, Says He Wants To Compete In Death Match

Who is ready for Death Daddy?

Buff Daddy wants to know.

Marcus "Buff" Bagwell noted via social media back on February 3 that he is interested in stepping into the ring in 2022 for a Death Match.

The former WCW star returned to the ring in Chicago over the weekend, and after commenting about his return experience, resurfaced on social media once again to reiterate his recent expressed interest in competing in a Death Match.

"I think I want to do a death match in 2022... whose ready for Death Daddy," he wrote back on 2/3.

Following his return in Chicago this past weekend, Bagwell wrote, "Had an amazing weekend in Chicago and Crown Point. Stepped in the ring for the first time in almost two years and it felt great... 2022 is the year of Buff."

On Monday morning, Buff 'The Stuff' wrote the following update about his interest in competing in a Death Match.

"Yes, I was serious about doing a deathmatch in 2022," wrote Bagwell. "I have someone that is specifically handling any bookings to do with Death Matches, reach out to RebuildingBuff@gmail.com with any inquiries!"

In an additional tweet he added, "Some of the 'boys' are upset, but that's fine I've never done anything for them, it's about entertaining those behind the guardrail and bringing some new eyes to an old sport!"

He also posted a link to some new merchandise he has out, and returned in yet another tweet later Monday morning to comment further on his Death Match interest.

"I'm not interested in doing a Death Match because I need the bookings," he wrote. "My calendar stars full with autograph signings and conventions. I could never put on a pair of tights again and it won't hurt me financially, but I want to challenge myself and help out others."

In one final tweet he wrote, "People like Sting, [Roddy] Piper, [Ric] Flair and Lex [Luger] did so much for me as a young kid in the business and even more later on in life, they gave so much to me and now I want to give to others, anyone upset about that has their own insecurities."
