It looks like we have Bad Bunny to thank for the WWE return of Carlito.
Carlito, who returned at WWE Backlash in Puerto Rico earlier this year, turned up once again as the mystery partner for Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar against Bobby Lashley & The Street Profits at WWE Fastlane 2023.
During a recent Cheap Heat podcast appearance, Carlito revealed it was Bad Bunny who pitched his return to the company for WWE Backlash in Puerto Rico earlier this year.
"That’s all Bad Bunny," he said. "He’s a fan. Puerto Rican, he’s a fan of mine growing up. I think it was one of his ideas. Him or Hunter."
He continued, "They said it would be a great idea for me to be a part of it. Being from Puerto Rico, it just makes sense."
