Change In AEW Continental Classic Tournament; Updated Standings & Next Set Of Scheduled Matches

-- AEW's second annual AEW Continental Classic began on last night's Dynamite and a significant change in how the winner will be crowned was announced. Last year, the winners of the Blue and Gold leagues faced off to determine the tournament champion, this year a key difference is that following the round-robin qualifying round, the runner-up of the Blue league will face the leader of the Gold league and the runner-up of the Gold league will face off against the winner of the Blue league. The two wrestlers victorious in those matches will face off in the finals and whomever wins that will walk away with the Continental title. All three matches will take place at the PPV.

-- On Dynamite, the first three matches took place and saw Shelton Benjamin defeat Mark Briscoe, Claudio Castagnoli pinned Ricochet and Brody King defeated Darby Allin. Below are the current standings as well as the next set of matches scheduled for Collision and next week's Dynamite.
