Charlotte Flair Will Reportedly Once Again Be Pushed as Company's Top Female Star

-- WWE used a muddled finish in the NXT TakeOver: In Your House women’s triple threat match between Charlotte Flair, Io Shirai and Rhea Ripley to give Shirai the win and title while also keeping Flair from being pinned or submitted. According to the Observer, the finish where one wrestler is submitting another while a third goes for a pin attempt at the same time is something WWE has introduced more and more lately and will continue to do so moving forward. The idea for this match was to take the title off of Flair but still push her as superior since the goal on the main roster is that she is going to be once again pushed as the top female performer in the company with Becky Lynch now gone for a lengthy absence.

-- In the post-TakeOver conference call with Triple H, he teased that the finish was intended to build towards something for Flair over the next several weeks and months.
