Chelsea Green Confirms New WWE Contract; Talks Being Paired Up With With Ethan Page

It was reported a few days ago that former WWE United States Women's Champion Chelsea Green inked a multi-year contract with the company earlier this year - believed to be keeping her with WWE for the next five years.

In an interview earlier this week, Green confirmed the news stating that she signed the new deal and is very happy in WWE:

"I just re-signed. I’m so happy here. And I’m okay to take a moment and fill my days and my weeks with media and traveling to represent WWE as more of, like, the face, you know? I love being on TV every week, and obviously I’m saying that and that’s so ridiculous because I am currently on SmackDown, NXT, and AAA in one week. I am still busy, even though I don’t necessarily have a direction. But I’m happy, and I think that that’s all that matters. It’s not always about and I’ve said this over and over again: it’s not always about winning, it’s not always about being on a pay-per-view. Like, I know what I bring to this company. And I know that they can trust me with anything."

Green also spoke of her recent alliance with fellow Canadian Ethan Page, saying it has been pairing that has worked out better than she could have ever imagined:

"I had never met this man in my life. I had always heard about Ethan Page, obviously. We’re Canadian, we always know about people on the indies. As he was kind of seeing his rise, so was I. But funny enough, we never wrestled together. We were never on the same shows, we never crossed paths."

"He walks out and he starts talking and I’m like, ‘Holy sh*t. Oh, is he? He’s me. I was just so caught off guard. I get in the ring and I’m talking and I can feel like out of my peripherals I can feel his facial expressions. I can feel his energy and he like leans over like this and I’m like, he’s perfect. I think we both immediately knew like this is something. And we just continued to build and learn that we had the same goals in mind and learn that we had the same work ethic and drive."

Green is hoping that Page can make it up to the main roster and join her stable:

"It has been way better than I could have ever imagined and I have been so stuck on trying to get him to the main roster because I can’t unsee this duo and this group now with the girls too."
