At this past July's WWE Money In The Bank PPV Event, the fans inside the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas were passionately chanting for CM Punk, which led to a fan on Twitter saying that people should stop chanting CM Punk's name because he will not be coming back to wrestling, but if he does, then he will eat CM Punk's shoes.
AEW Star CM Punk would then take to his Twitter and post a screenshot of the fan’s comment along with the caption, “It is time to address this.”
It is interesting to note that reports of CM Punk possibly returning to pro wrestling and negotiating a contract with AEW started emerging on July 21st, a few days after WWE’s MITB Event. Punk would then make his promotional AEW debut on the August 20th episode of Rampage in Chicago and his in-ring debut this past Sunday night at All Out, when he defeated Darby Allin in Singles action.
