CM Punk Hints That He Will Not Be Headlining WWE WrestleMania 41

It doesn't appear that CM Punk will be headlining WWE WrestleMania 41.

The Second City Saint recently spoke with Inside the Ropes to promote this evening's Elimination Chamber premium live event in Canada, where he'll be competing in the Elimination Chamber matchup alongside Logan Paul, Damian Priest, Drew McIntyre, John Cena, and Seth Rollins. The winner of that match will challenge Cody Rhodes at Mania for the Undisputed Championship.

During his chat, Punk mentioned how being in the Mania main event is not something he really cares about anymore, indicating that wherever he is on the card he plans on stealing the show.

“It’s really not that big of a deal. Main eventing WrestleMania has always been a goal of mine, but goals change. It doesn’t mean I don’t want to wrestle in the main event at WrestleMania, but I’m at this stage in my career now where I’m like, ‘Oh, okay, so this person’s going to main event? Alright, well, you’re not gonna be able to follow this, so I don’t know what to tell you. I’ll go first, I’ll shower, I’ll eat some donuts, and I’ll watch whatever you call a main event, and I’ll just go, ‘Alright.’”

Rumors point to Punk facing off against Rollins and Roman Reigns in a triple-threat at Mania. While that direction has been teased on television, as always with wrestling, card is subject to change.
