CM Punk Spotted at FOX Studios; Potentially Could Be Involved with WWE Backstage

-- PWInsider.com reports that former WWE wrestler CM Punk was seen at FOX Studios this week in Los Angeles, meeting with officials about a possible on-air role with the new series "WWE Backstage" that will debut on FS 1 on October 5. Renee Young - who is the lead host of the show - was also there and Punk was said to have done some on-camera work while he was there.

-- It should be noted that there is no confirmation that Punk has signed onto be a part of this series as FOX has been looking to bring in other non-WWE personalities into the fold including former commentator, Taz, and former wrestler Sean "X-Pac" Waltman, both of whom were brought in over the last few months for potential roles as well. Within WWE, Paige and Rey Mysterio have also been at the studios.

-- WWE Backstage is actually going to be produced by FOX rather than WWE so even if CM Punk joins the show, he technically would still not be working for WWE though he has softened his stance considerably over the last couple of months in regards to potentially working with the promotion again.
