Shortly before tonight's WWE Raw went on air, the company aired a video on social media that showed a physical confrontation between Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes and it took place at McIntyre's home.
The video shows Smackdown GM Nick Aldis - accompanied by security guards - visit McIntyre at his home. He says everyone wants Drew reinstated from suspension and his proposal is that he will get a one-on-one match against Rhodes for the WWE Title but only in exchange for a public apology to referee Dan Engler and he would also be required to pay a fine.
McIntyre initially refused the terms saying this is what Aldis and Cody want and he is going to get screwed again, but then countered and said he would accept if he gets to pick the stipulation in the upcoming WWE Title match and Rhodes cannot lay a finger on him until said match or he will be stripped of the title. Aldis agreed.
Soon after that, McIntyre got a notification on his phone and looked to see security camera footage of Rhodes being stopped by the security cards. McIntyre accused Aldis of setting him up and ordered him to handle it but as Aldis went out to confront Rhodes, the champ got through security and attacked McIntyre.
