As noted, AEW will be conducting a silent auction to benefit Tunnel 2 Towers during the AEW Dynamite Grand Slam special at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York on Wednesday night.
Ahead of the big show and the charity effort from All Elite Wrestling, one of the EVPs and in-ring talents for the company, Cody Rhodes, took to social media to comment on the venture.
Cody, who goes one-on-one against Malakai Black at the Grand Slam special this week, wrote the following on his official Twitter page about the aforementioned silent auction:
"Shout-out to @rmorfnyc of the community outreach team for bringing this beautiful organization to my attention. Dude is instrumental in this flashpoint moment for our business taking place tomorrow from NYC - this was the cape from my first AEW match, happy bidding!"
