-- Cody Rhodes is set to return to AEW TV this week on Dynamite but it appears the the reigning AEW TNT champion is actually wrestling for the company without a contract and technically a free agent. Fightfulselect.com reports that Rhodes has been without a contract since the end of 2021 and it has been known within AEW circles for a while.
-- Rhodes has also previously been in an EVP position with AEW but it appears he doesn't have a contract in that regard either as a source didn't confirm or deny the reports but stated that Rhodes has no agreement with AEW in any capacity. While there has been no comment from either side on this story and it's unclear what his future plans are, Rhodes has previously gone on record to state that he couldn't see himself anywhere but AEW and that he feels that his future in wrestling is still with Tony Khan's promotion. F4wonline.com notes that currently this is considered a non-story but if Rhodes is for some reason pulled from Wednesday's Dynamite at the last minute, then there's definitely something up in regards to his future with the company.
