Cody Rhodes On Why Doctors Won’t Give Him A Timeline For His In-Ring Return

Top WWE Star and former AEW Star "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes suffered a brutal torn pectoral injury prior to the WWE's Hell In A Cell Premium Live Event last June 5, but still managed to compete on the show and even defeat Seth "Freakin" Rollins in a Hell In A Cell Match. Seth Rollins would then brutally attack Cody Rhodes the next night on WWE RAW and shortly after, The American Nightmare would have a major surgery and it was announced that he would be out of in-ring action for nine months, but Rhodes is already looking forward to his return to WWE in-ring action, regardless of what his doctors have said.

"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes recently spoke with TMZ Sports on a number of topics such as how he has been treated really good by the WWE for the first three months of his return until he tore his pec and how he hopes to make his return soon.

Cody Rhodes said:

“No complaints. They’ve treated me like the house that built me, which they were. And honestly, it was amazing. We were back, and everything was rolling so fast, and then I tore my pec. It was like the best three months of my life. Hopefully, get back to that soon. I was told I have the strength of an 11-year-old, but I was pretty strong at 11. Hopefully soon.”

Cody Rhodes also spoke about how the doctors won’t give him a timeline for his in-ring return because they know he will try to return much quicker than their recommendation and how he wants to return 100 percent healthy.

Cody Rhodes said:

“You know they haven’t really given me one because they know I’m stupid, and I’d try to test it. I got in my mind where I want to be, and I think a lot of fans have in their mind where I’d like to be, and that’s hopefully where it’s at. Right now, I do actually agree with what’s going on because I think what happens next hopefully and what we do, and this is all speculative up in the air. Hopefully, it’s a run that people remember, and I got to be healthy for it.”

Cody Rhodes previously revealed that he his planning to make his in-ring return at the 2023 WWE Royal Rumble Premium Live Event.
