Yesterday, former WWE wrestler Gigi Dolan participated in an interview where she shared her opinion that many wrestling fans were misinformed about the salaries that wrestlers in the company (specifically NXT) earn. Dolan highlighted costs that talent incur while on the road and made a claim that some wrestlers in NXT are making only $30,000 annually which raised some eyebrows.
Bryan Alvarez of f4wonline.com reported later that Dolan's claims of NXT wrestlers making only $30,000 simply aren't true and that he has confirmed that NXT contracts begin at $75,000 with the caveat that any big name wrestlers that are brought in from outside of WWE obviously are given a higher starting salary.
Alvarez added that "nobody is making $30,000", however, conceded that wrestlers who are part of WWE's ID program, however, those athletes have deals with a key difference: they are not under any official TKO contractual salaried deal and are instead compensated a "small amount" to upgrade their look and help with their career progression.
