According to a previous report from WrestleVotes, WWE was planning to hold a live episode of NXT TV on Tuesday, August 19th, at the iconic 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, just one week before AEW was set to begin a seven-show residency at the same venue. However, PWInsider.com has now reported that this plan is not accurate.
PWInsider.com spoke with the management of the 2300 Arena and confirmed that no WWE events are currently scheduled for that date. The report also mentioned that WWE has yet to announce any television tapings planned for that time. A live episode of WWE NXT was previously held at the venue last November.
AEW is scheduled to start its residency at the 2300 Arena on Wednesday, August 27th, with its Dynamite show. Additionally, Death Before Dishonor 2025 will take place at the venue on Friday, September 5th.
We’re told WWE has an interesting location lined up for an upcoming NXT TV — Tuesday, August 19 at the 2300 Arena in Philly. That show comes just one week before AEW kicks off its 7-show residency at the same venue.
