Controversy at RevPro Event: Referee Injured; One Wrestler Disciplined, Another Fired

-- At last weekend's RevPro event at York Hall, controversy ensued after an impromptu finish to a tag team match led to the referee in the match getting a bodyslam that was not scripted. The series of events only came to light when the ref in the match - Aaren Wilde - posted on Twitter that he would be retiring from officiating, citing injuries as a result of an unplanned bump following the match. The incident occurred during the Aussie Open vs. Josh Bodom & Sha Samuels tag bout when Wilde ended the match earlier than anticipated when Bodom was unable to get his shoulders up in time before a three count. This upset Bodom and Samuels who then proceeded to slam the referee after the match, causing the injuries.

-- In a tweet that has since been deleted, Bodom stated: "Yo @RevProUK, plz get some qualified refs that aren’t s***. Also the York Hall fans are incurable, depressed slop jalops. Congrats to @DUNKZILLADavis & @kylefletcherpro on getting a free pass to bRoyal Quest tho. xoxox” while Samuels ended up apologizing for his actions and indicated that he never meant to endanger anyone. Eventually RevPro officials got a wind of the injuries suffered by Wilde and they released the following statement, announcing that they are disciplining Samuels while cutting ties with Bodom.
