WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley recently appeared on an episode of the A2TheK Wrestling show, where he spoke about a variety of topics such as the rumored heat between himself and Bubba Ray Dudley as well as how they just needed a break.
The Dudley Boyz have competed in a number of pro wrestling companies and they have held titles in all of those companies, including the WWE, TNA Wrestling and ECW. After making their WWE returns in 2015, the company wanted to re-sign them in 2016, but Bubba Ray revealed in an interview that he felt D-Von and himself were not being treated fairly in terms of their position and that would lead to D-Von and Bubba Ray going their separate ways as D-Von stayed with the WWE as a producer and Bubba Ray would go to ROH.
It was also revealed that D-Von wanted to end his career in the WWE, while Bubba Ray wanted to do his Bully Ray character in ROH instead of staying as a tag team in the WWE, but Vince McMahon didn’t want that to happen. D-von then revealed that he and Bubba Ray were no longer doing business, leading some to speculate that they were no longer on good terms, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
D-Von Dudley said:
“Yeah, actually, we just spoke yesterday about another autograph signing we’re going to do together. A lot of people thought that me and Bubba were at odds, and we weren’t at odds. It was just that him and I needed a break. He and I were together for 20 years. I saw him more than I saw my first two wives, which wasn’t a bad idea, trust me. Sometimes, you just need a break, and that’s what we did. We took a break, and now we’re reunited again.”
