Dakota Kai Reveals Two Members Originally Planned To Be Part Of Damage CTRL

Damage CTRL almost looked a bit different than the version we know and see today.

Dakota Kai recently spoke with Fightful for an in-depth interview, during which she revealed two women's wrestlers that were originally planned to be part of the Damage CTRL faction.

Featured below are some of the highlights from the interview where she touches on this topic and notes that Candice LeRae and Tegan Nox were two stars that were considered for the group.

On how the originally pitched group featured Tegan Nox and Candice LeRae: "From the very start, when she [Bayley] first messaged me a couple years before, it was myself, Candice LeRae, and Tegan. Those were the ones that were from the start. Obviously, things have happened from then until now that have changed. The photos and stuff we took earlier this year it was myself, IYO, Kay Lee Ray [Alba Fyre] and Raquel Gonzalez [Raquel Rodriguez]. That was like the updated version of that."

On how Bayley made one last effort to get the group in WWE when Triple H took over: "Then, when she finally re-pitched it again in a last ditch effort when Triple H basically came to the company again, she sent him those photos of the five of us and his first response was like, ‘What’s Dakota doing right now?’ I felt really overwhelmed that he thought of me. That was the evolution of that."
