-- WWE held a post-Clash At The Castle press conference yesterday following their premium live event. WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H was one of the main speakers, fielding questions from the media. Below are some quick highlights of what he and others had to say:
- After retaining his World Heavyweight Title, Damian Priest was asked about his knee injury. Priest noted that as of that time, he was unable to get the knee assessed by WWE's medical staff but that it felt like "trash."
- CM Punk spoke of the way things have changed backstage in WWE since he's been back. He felt that it was a completely different culture and climate and that one person revealed to him that he was happy to see Punk back in WWE so that he could experience it first hand while also crediting Punk with starting the evolution.
- As noted in a previous post, CM Punk stated that he hoped to get medical clearance to return to in-ring action by next Friday. WWE CCO Triple H wasn't as specific but did confirm that he expects Punk back "soon" while also crediting Punk on creating a new type of atmosphere within WWE. He said he is very happy to have Punk back to see him be the type of person he is now that he wanted to see in the past. Triple H echoed others reports that Punk is a pleasure to be around.
- Someone asked Triple H about Chad Gable re-signing with WWE. He responded by saying that he would love to see Gable in WWE forever performing at the highest level possible. Triple H re-iterated that the climate backstage has changed and Gable is someone who is a part of that change and that he is thrilled to have Gable in WWE where he belongs.
