In his recent appearance on the Battleground podcast, WWE Raw Superstar Damian Priest discussed dozens of topics.
During the interview, “The Archer of Infamy” explained his dream entrance. Priest also discussed being a part of the United States Championship division, and more. Check out the highlights.
On being in the WWE US Championship picture ahead of Summerslam:
“Unfortunately I’m not(in charge), so all I can do is work hard and hopefully earn that opportunity. I’ve heard nothing, I know I’m going to Las Vegas for Summerslam, but selfishly I want a big profile match. I want specifically a Summerslam moment.”
On wrestling as a heel in the past:
“I think for me, Damian Priest, it’s case by case. It really depends on who’s in front of me. But if you notice, I’m still the same guy, I do the same things no matter who I am paired against. When I was with Finn Balor I came at him, because I wasn’t a big enough name yet, so I had to make him want to fight. Now for instance, with Sheamus, I have to look for the fight because I want a United States Championship opportunity, and I have to put Sheamus in his place, because he’s a bully. But yeah there’s something to being a little edgier, and laughing to yourself, thinking ‘yeah I did that’.”
On his dream entrance:
“I mean ideally a Wrestlemania with like Metallica playing me to the ring would be awesome. I could shoot an actual flaming arrow, that would be cool. I have alot of ideas when it comes to entrances... But definitely a live band playing me to the ring at Wrestlemania, that would be a dream scenario.”
