Daniel Garcia Talks About His Character Evolving Since First Joining AEW

After putting his superb dancing skills on display for the world to see on AEW Dynamite this past Wednesday night at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, it's fair to say Daniel Garcia has come a long way since first becoming "#AllElite."

The All Elite Wrestling veteran and J.A.S. member recently appeared as a guest on Busted Open Radio for an interview, during which he spoke about his character development since first joining AEW.

“Oh, it’s been great. I feel like when I came into AEW, I feel like I was typecast a lot just as a technical wrestler and a lot of times, technical wrestlers get typecast as boring and I feel like being with Jericho and being able to stay in the Jericho Appreciation Society has really allowed me to show more levels and layers to my character and what I can do as a performer so I’m really grateful for that," Garcia said. "The biggest thing with being with Jericho, he doesn’t tell you what to do, he doesn’t even really try to steer you in the right direction. He gives me the confidence to try."

Garcia continued, "I’ll see Jericho do things that other wrestlers would never dream of doing, they would feel so self-conscious doing. I’m like, If Chris Jericho, the person that beat The Rock and Steve Austin in the same night, who has been on top for 20 years, if he’s willing to try this new thing that might seem goofy or intimidating to some people, why shouldn’t I give myself, a couple years into the business, the opportunity to try something? Why am I scared to fall on my face? Why am I scared to fail? Jericho has tried things, it’s the most random things, and it’s gotten over. Why am I so afraid to try something that I want to do, I shouldn’t be afraid to fail. That’s the biggest confidence Jericho has given me, don’t be afraid to try."
