AEW star Darby Allin has realized one of his goals - climbing to the top of Mt. Everest.
First reported over the weekend, Allin posted on Instagram yesterday showing him at the summit of the world's highest mountain with a group of climbers and holding an AEW flag. He captioned it with:
"Mount Everest summit. What a ride thanks @aew for everything in life. Thanks to the amazing team at adventure consultants and the Sherpa squad this shit was wild!"
Allin has been off TV since the Continental Classic in late December as he took a leave of absence to focus on training for the trek up Everest, something he had been interested in pursuing for years. Aside from the training, the actual climb up Everest can take up to two months so AEW did not expect him back until spring and hopefully be featured on the Double or Nothing card according to fightfulselect.com. At this time with the climb over, it's unclear when Allin will rejoin AEW.
