Drew McIntyre vs. Madcap Moss Match Added To WWE Day 1

An announcement was made by the WWE during last night's episode of Friday Night SmackDown that Madcap Moss will be facing Drew McIntyre at the upcoming WWE Day 1 PPV Event. SmackDown saw a new episode of Happy Talk take place, where Happy Corbin said he is extremely happy for the new addition to the set, which is Adam Pearce’s desk, with Drew McIntyre’s sword Angela stuck in it. Happy Corbin then said to McIntyre this is just a sword, but to him this is a piece of highly functioning, expensive furniture.

Madcap Moss then cracked a joke on Drew McIntyre and tried to pull the sword out of WWE official Adam Pearce's desk, but said he can't get it out. Corbin then tried to pull the sword out until McIntyre's music hit and The Scottish Warrior made his way out. Drew McIntyre then made his way down to the ring and a brawl broke out between McIntyre, Madcap and Corbin. McIntyre then stood tall with the sword as Madcap and Corbin looked on from ringside.

Later in the broadcast, Corbin and Madcap were interviewed by Megan Morant, where Corbin said they're not worried about McIntyre and they will be laughing all the way to New Year’s, because Drew is going to lose to Madcap at WWE Day 1. Moss seems to be a bit nervous with facing McIntyre at the event, but Corbin just laughs and tells Moss to end the segment.

WWE's first-ever Day 1 PPV is set to take place on New Year’s Day, Saturday, January 1st, 2022 inside the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
