-- When The Rock decided he was going to step back into a WWE ring at WrestleMania for the first time in several years, one of the concerns was whether he would come out of his training and the match itself injury free. While he was able to successfully navigate the match without any major ailments, his good luck wasn't able to extend to his movie filming activities.
-- Posting to Instagram earlier today, The Rock revealed that he suffered an elbow injury while filming for the movie "The Smashing Machine", showing off a swollen elbow that he described as ballooning to look like a cantaloupe. Johnson noted that he needs to wait for the swelling to go down before he can undergo an MRI to determine the extent of the injury.
"As you guys know, I’m filming a movie called ‘The Smashing Machine.’ And anytime your film is called ‘The Smashing Machine,’ well, you’re kind of going to get smashed up. Look at that sucker right there. It looks like I have a cantaloupe in the bottom of my elbow. I got banged up pretty good today in our scenes. And then there might be some soft tissue damage in there. That’s a lot of fluid. We’ll see. I got to get it out of there first before I get any kind of any MRI."
